Two Canada geese stand guard over their nesting area in this original acrylic painting.
This image placed 8th in the 2005 Wisconsin Waterfowl Stamp contest.
The inspiration for this painting came from a pair of nesting geese I had observed on Lake Wausau a few years back. Both geese would crane their necks in keen observation whenever a curious pedestrian would pass their bit of dry land.
